Carpineto
Carpineto is a family owned and operated winery founded in 1967 by Giovanni Sacchet, International Winemaker of the year in 1994, and Antonio Zaccheo. It produces a range of distinctive award-winning wines (Carpineto won the International Wine and Spirit trophy for the best Italian wine producer in 2003) from grapes grown on four separate estates totalling more than 400 hectares. They include Chianti Classico, Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, Brunello and the Super Tuscans Dogajolo and Farnito. Carpineto’s constant search for excellence in its wines is matched by Antonio’s passion for the high quality extra virgin oil produced from the 7,000 trees in Carpineto’s olive groves.
