Le Nardian, Lugaignac, 2017/2020, Bordeaux, Chateau Teyssier

Equal parts Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon, with 20% of Muscadelle, the Semillon is less tropical than usual and so the aromatics are more refined and classic, giving more focus to the whole. Nevertheless, there is still a good measure of fun and exuberance to be had, with white flowers, grapefruit and clotted cream on the nose, a full-bodied doughy warmth on the palate followed by zesty mango, and a rich yet refreshing finish. Outstanding!
