Jules Taylor
Since New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc is widely regarded as the best in the world then Jules Taylor might just have produced the world’s best Sauvignon Blanc in 2007. Jules, a young, highly respected winemaker whose winery carries her name, won the Air New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc trophy for 2007. The Air New Zealand wine awards are NZ’s most prestigious and there were several hundred entries in the Sauvignon Blanc section. Jules, who has spent stints as a winemaker in Piedmont and Australia is senior winemaker for Kim Crawford and Nobilo, two of NZ’s largest wine producers. She started producing wines under her own name several years ago – to much local and international acclaim.
